The NCT Heidelberg was one of the first "Comprehensive Cancer Centers" in Germany and is widely known as a leading oncological center in Germany. Last year, it has been certified as “Oncological Center of Excellence” by the German Cancer Society (DKG) for the third year in a row. At the NCT, not only the latest scientific findings are always incorporated into all treatments, but it is itself a pacemaker and developer of new or improved therapy methods. It serves as the central entrance portal for all cancer patients at Heidelberg University Hospital. Each patient is approached individually and receives comprehensive consultation and treatment. Furthermore, specialists from various fields discuss more than 9,500 cases per year in 27 weekly conferences.
